An induction ceremony for the new Native Language Lab at General Vanier Intermediate School was held on Friday, March 6. With the hopes of preserving, protecting, and revitalizing the local dialect of the Mohawk language, the lab is for native and non-native students who wish to learn through storytelling, karaoke, and written work among others. The program, CAN 8 VirtuaLab, is a digital multimedia language learning system that operates on a computer network.
